Ábaco Strategy, LLC is looking for a Project Manager that will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects within the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO) focused on data science. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager will coordinate with various stakeholders, manage project risks, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation. Ensure that all project activities are aligned with the DTMO's strategic goals.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation to team members. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively, and ensure stakeholder expectations are managed.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Develop contingency plans to address potential issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards. Implement quality control processes and conduct regular reviews to maintain high standards.
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditures. Ensure that projects are delivered within the allocated budget and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and risk logs. Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Compliance: Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and policies. This includes adherence to NARA standards for records management and other applicable guidelines.
Required Qualification:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects. Experience with government contracting and defense projects is highly desirable.
Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required. Additional ITIL, Six Sigma, or Agile certifications are a plus.
