Your missions

The Global Brand Associate is responsible for overseeing licensor approvals for a group of product categories and communicating on a regular basis with internal teams to ensure product approval needs are met. In addition, you will navigate and track approvals within our Licensor's Digital Rights Platform (MediaBox, LAS, etc) while working on new and exciting product lines fans love.                                                                                              

What You'll Do:

  • Work collaboratively with Jazwares' product and packaging design teams, brand manager, and other internal stakeholders to manage the product submission and approvals process for a diverse portfolio of entertainment licensors.
  • Understand and master the different Licensors' approval systems & software, while providing product or packaging feedback to licensor and internal cross-functional teams to ensure fast turnarounds.
  • Manage day to day submission information integrity between Jazwares' team and licensor.
  • Be adaptable to shifting priorities and aware of the product development process, to ensure development stages and ship dates are met and communicated through submission milestones to licensors.
  • Communicate with internal teams to ensure licensor feedback is taken into consideration to problem solve, troubleshoot, and to help streamline product revisions.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with internal teams and serve as a point of contact for communication and updates needed across submissions and deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with product design, packaging design, brand, and other internal team partners to ensure licensor stipulations, feedback, legal lines, and requirements are implemented across each line and submission.
  • Assist and collaborate with Trafficking and Product Development Managers through all aspects of product development, from concept to market and ensure that concept phase and production phase milestones are met.           
  • Utilize project management software for assigned projects
  • Help coordinate design approvals with respective licensors and/or stake holders throughout the development process                                 
  • Organize submission tracker for accounts and co-develop processes with brand management based on needs.
  • Work with Brand Management and Design Teams to coordinate the timely creation and placement of development, photography and presentation models/samples
  • Oversee the influx of samples, organization of sample storage
  • Work with Brand Management Team to develop competitive assessments, research trends, and IP’s, to be familiar with fanbase and consumer expectations/competitive landscape.
  • Stay up to date with compliance/ style guides/ approvals through internal systems and external communication.
  • Gather domestic and international field input on new and existing products.
  • Participate in key account calls, as needed
  • Work with the auditing team to ensure all products are tracked and accounted for.

 What We Look For:

  • 1-2 years of experience in brand, licensing, marketing or product management/development
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A passion to learn about toys, play patterns and other trends in the industry!
  • Strong project management skills. Detail-oriented and strong organizational and time management skills while juggling multiple projects at once are required
  • Knowledge and experience of the product development process for consumer hard/soft goods is required.
  • Experience in toys, licensing or related consumer products industry desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of the DRM (Digital Rights Management) systems a PLUS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - an articulate speaker who knows how to read and engage an audience and is a strategic team player
  • Flexible with ability to pivot quickly from one project to the next at varying stages of development without losing track
  • Skilled in presentation composition and communications technology including PowerPoint and Google Slides
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-Suite
  • Able to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel experience for process development and tracking
  • Effective problem solver and critical thinker; proactive in resolving issues
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to gain an in-depth knowledge about our brands and products
  • Ability to deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels in a professional manner

The salary range for this position is $66,560.00 / salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, location. Eligibility for annual performance incentive may apply.
