Description

As legal and judicial agencies move towards a technology-driven workflow, VIQ Solutions stands out as a leader in providing transcription services to various industries. This opportunity is for experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates with significant experience transcribing depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings. The role is fully remote and designed for Independent Contractors.

In this position, you will engage in transcribing audio recordings with intense attention to detail, adhering to style guides to produce verbatim transcripts while showcasing familiarity with legal terminology and maintaining excellent grammar. You will have the flexibility to set your own schedule and receive support from our dedicated in-office team as needed, with availability for work 24/7/365. Weekend availability is encouraged.

Skill Requirements

Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is required.
Excellent listening skills.
Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
Ability to collaborate remotely.
Typing proficiency in both speed and accuracy.
Capability to process extreme audio/text content (content may be offensive).
Ability to pass a background check.
Familiarity with legal terminology.
Court reporting students will also be considered.
Currently, this opportunity is not available to Massachusetts or California residents.

Technology Requirements

High-speed internet connection.
