Position Overview

We are seeking a Tax Senior with advanced knowledge in partnership taxation and real estate to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate closely with diverse clients and deliver specialized tax services tailored for partnership and real estate entities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review partnership tax returns (Form 1065) for various entities, including real estate partnerships, investment funds, and operating partnerships.
  • Analyze partnership agreements and financial statements to ensure accurate reporting of income, deductions, and allocations.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve complex partnership tax issues, including capital account maintenance, basis adjustments, and allocation methodologies.
  • Assist in tax planning and structuring for real estate transactions, such as acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure timely completion of engagements.
  • Manage multiple engagements concurrently within established timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct research on tax laws and regulations related to partnerships and real estate, providing proactive tax advice to clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments in partnership and real estate taxation.
  • Actively participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Actively pursuing CPA, EA, or JD license; current license is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, focusing on partnership taxation and real estate.
  • Strong understanding of partnership tax rules, including Subchapter K and Section 704 regulations.
  • Experience with real estate transactions, such as property acquisitions, dispositions, and 1031 exchanges.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, organization, and analytical skills.
