Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including Municipalities and Department of Transportation (DOT) agencies.
  • Oversee clients' real estate needs, which include:
    • Estimating acquisition costs
    • Conducting appraisals
    • Negotiating agreements
    • Managing acquisition and relocation processes
  • Set and maintain project budgets while ensuring successful project oversight.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of real estate professionals.

Skills And Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Transportation real estate/right-of-way services, including appraisal, negotiation, and acquisition.
  • WisDOT approved Appraiser certification, or the ability to obtain it within one month.
  • WisDOT approved Negotiator certification, or the ability to obtain it within one month.
  • Notary Public certification, or the ability to obtain it.
  • Familiarity with the WisDOT Real Estate Program Manual.
  • Understanding of real estate laws, eminent domain principles, the Uniform Act, and NEPA regulations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Relevant U.S.-based work experience.
