Job Title: Remote Remodeling Permit Compliance Specialist (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $1,500 USD /month

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Eastern Time

Job Overview:

Our client, a leading provider of bathroom remodeling services with locations in South Florida is seeking a Project Compliance Coordinator to join their team. This is a remote position where the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer experience by efficiently handling the permitting process for the bathroom projects. The permitting process consists of preparing and collecting all documentation required by County/City and Homeowners Associations (HOAs) from customers, governmental offices and other departments within the company, following up on the permit review process, coordinating inspection and closing the permitting process at County/City/HOA. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, great attention to detail, excellent communication skills, English (written and spoken), backup power source and access to a reliable computer with internet connectivity. In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction of a timely remodel timeline and resolving any issues that may appear throughout the documentation process.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling the lifecycle of County/City/ HOA permits & inspections for remodels
  • Communicate with team members, clients, city governments & HOAs to gather the necessary information/documents via email and phone and to be able to complete the process efficiently.
  • Coordinate with various departments
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate with the team to implement solutions.

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar high stake role
  • Legal background, or have worked with an attorney or property management company
  • Detail-oriented and very organized.
  • Excellent English level both written and spoken

  • Deadline Management: Prioritizing permit applications and adhering to submission deadlines minimizes delays and keeps the projects on schedule
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborating effectively with other project stakeholders, such as architects, designers, and contractors, ensures cohesive planning and execution
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with software tools and databases used in permit management can streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Persistence & sense of Urgency: Obtaining permits may involve navigating bureaucracy and overcoming obstacles. A permits coordinator should be persistent in pursuing approvals and resolving issues that may arise during the process
  • Documentation Skills: Accurate record-keeping and documentation are essential for tracking permit statuses and ensuring compliance. The permits coordinator should be proficient in maintaining organized records
  • Project Management Skills: Coordinating permit issuance with the overall project timeline and ensuring permits are obtained in a timely manner is essential for successful bathroom remodel projects.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Providing prompt and courteous assistance to clients throughout the permitting process enhances customer satisfaction and fosters positive relationships.
  • Adaptability: Being able to adapt to changes in regulations or project requirements ensures smooth permit acquisition despite unforeseen circumstances.
  • Experience with permits and or inspections is a plus
