Platform Engineer (CDS)- Anywhere in Australia

This is a remote position.

Role and Responsibilities:

A Platform Engineer in this role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the underlying infrastructure and platforms that support the organization's CDS (Cloud Data Services) solutions. This includes managing cloud-based data warehousing and analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Platform Management:
  
• Manage cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for CDS solutions.
  
• Provision and configure cloud resources (VMs, storage, networking).
  
• Implement and manage cloud infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform.
  
• Data Warehouse Administration:
  
• Administer cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  
• Perform data modeling, ETL, and data integration tasks.
  
• Optimize data warehouse performance and query execution.
  
• Data Analytics Tools:
  
• Manage and support data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  
• Implement data visualization and reporting capabilities.
  
• Data Governance:
  
• Implement data governance policies and standards.
  
• Ensure data quality and integrity.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
  
• Experience with cloud-based data warehousing and analytics solutions.
  
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques.
  
• Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes.
  
• Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Certified Data Engineer).
  
• Experience with specific cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks.
  
• Experience with data lake and data lakehouse architectures.
