Description

Are you passionate about ensuring financial integrity and driving best practices? This role involves overseeing internal controls related to financial reporting and supporting exciting special projects as the business expands.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading organization known for its exceptional workplace culture. You’ll have the flexibility of working remotely, with occasional visits (1-2 times a month) for team meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Support and contribute to special projects as part of our growing team.
  • Implement and maintain best practices around accounting policies.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) issued by a State Board of Accountancy.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and internal controls within a large, complex organization.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Intermediate understanding of US GAAP, SEC rules, PCAOB standards, and the COSO controls framework.
  • Experience with internal controls over financial reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 requirements.
  • Strong strategic influence, tactical planning, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar tools.
  • Ability to analyze the impact of business operations on financial accounting and reporting.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and lead process improvements.
