Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of the Visually Impaired to support students in a school district in Illinois. If you have a passion for making a difference and experience in working with visually impaired students, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Create and Implement IEPs: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student’s unique needs.
  • Provide Virtual Instruction: Deliver engaging virtual instruction in core subjects, adapting materials to ensure accessibility for all students.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work closely with families, educators, and support staff to foster a collaborative environment that promotes student success.
  • Utilize Specialized Resources: Make use of assistive technology and specialized resources to enhance the learning experience and support student development.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Licensing: Valid teaching license with an endorsement in Teaching the Visually Impaired in Illinois.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with visually impaired students is preferred.
