Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with exceptional needs? We are looking for a dedicated online educator to join our team and provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning requirements. In this role, you will create and deliver virtual learning experiences tailored to each student's unique needs, ensuring they receive the support and guidance necessary for their success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized online instruction by providing high-quality, individualized instruction to students with exceptional needs through a virtual platform.
  • Develop and implement virtual IEPs by creating and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior support plans to meet each student’s specific needs.
  • Adapt curriculum and materials to modify and design curriculum and digital learning materials for accessibility and engagement.
  • Conduct online assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction as needed to support learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with families and staff to foster a supportive environment that promotes student success.
  • Facilitate virtual meetings, leading IEP meetings and parent conferences to discuss progress and address any concerns.
  • Stay informed by keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in special education laws and online teaching best practices.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Master's degree in Special Education.
  • Licensing: Valid teaching license with an endorsement for exceptional children.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in special education.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using digital learning tools and assistive technology.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Engagement: Ability to create engaging and interactive online learning experiences.
  • Personal Attributes: Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
