Description

We are pleased to call for applications for an Adjunct Instructor in the online Doctor of Nursing Practice program. This role is dedicated to teaching Principles of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, a course aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of epidemiology and advanced biostatistics.

The Course Covers Significant Concepts In Epidemiology And Biostatistics, With a Strong Focus On Applying These Principles For Improving Public Health. Key Topics Include

  • Public and global health
  • Disease surveillance and prevention
  • Outbreak analysis

The course will also emphasize the vital role of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in this specialty area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver course instruction following the provided curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving course objectives and learning goals.
  • Facilitate and moderate online discussions to foster student engagement.
  • Hold online office hours and provide individualized support as necessary.
  • Grade assignments and give detailed feedback within 5 days.
  • Respond to student emails within 24-48 hours.
  • Adhere to the expectations outlined in the adjunct instructor contract.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Terminal degree in epidemiology or a related field.
  • Experience teaching epidemiology, population health, or demography.
  • Proficiency in research methods relevant to public health and disease patterns.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching online courses.
  • Familiarity with the Canvas learning management system.
