What You’ll Do

  • Provide Expert Care: Deliver speech and language services to students with communication disorders.
  • Evaluate & Diagnose: Assess and diagnose communication challenges to create effective treatment plans.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Design individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs.

Position Details

  • Caseload: Will be discussed during the interview.
  • Onsite Work: Required for the 2023-2024 school year.

Job Requirements

  • Licensing & Education: Must have a valid Maryland State SLP License and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or an equivalent field.
  • Experience: Prior school-based experience is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Assessments: Perform evaluations to diagnose communication disorders.
  • Create Treatment Plans: Develop individualized plans based on assessments.
  • Deliver Therapy: Provide speech and language therapy in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate: Work with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of evaluations, assessments, and therapy sessions.
  • Participate in Meetings: Attend meetings and provide detailed reports on student progress.
