Your missions

Description

As an Ambulatory Nurse, you will be an integral part of delivering high-quality healthcare to individuals, families, and communities. By employing a systematic approach that encompasses assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, you will provide compassionate nursing care, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Illinois Board of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive and competent healthcare to patients and their families, ensuring adherence to established standards of care.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all patient care activities.
  • Educate individuals and groups on health and wellness topics, fostering a culture of preventive care.
  • Mentor and support the development of fellow staff members and healthcare students, acting as a preceptor.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of care and improving clinical outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Nursing Supervisor/Coordinator to develop departmental standing orders.
  • Assist with lumbar punctures and administer medications via IV and IM routes.
  • Perform visual field testing and complete MRI safety screenings.
  • Conduct patient phone triage, providing guidance and support to patients.
  • Obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies to ensure seamless patient care.
