Your missions

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team and provide exceptional care to patients within a dynamic, supportive, and team-oriented environment. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Electrophysiology (EP) Providers and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care for EP patients. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of both on-site and remote work, with hours based on the operational needs of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Patient Care: Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac device patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Collaboration with Physicians: Work alongside attending physicians to manage and monitor cardiac device patients, ensuring efficient and coordinated care.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet the needs of patients and their families, assisting with the prevention of illness and promoting wellness.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families about their cardiac devices and related care, helping them understand their treatment plans and how to manage their health.
  • Documentation & Care Planning: Deliver age-appropriate, multidisciplinary care based on medical orders and document it accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). Manage patient data across various platforms, including device monitoring websites and databases.
  • Coordination & Leadership: Work closely with Medical Assistants (MAs) and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to coordinate patient care, ensure smooth patient flow, and maintain efficient clinical operations. Delegate tasks and supervise as needed.
  • Remote Transmission Preparation: Schedule, assess, and document remote cardiac device transmissions for provider review, ensuring timely and accurate results.
  • Outpatient Care: Provide cardiac nursing care in an outpatient setting within the remote monitoring program and assist with in-office device clinics as needed.
  • Additional Duties: Support other practice clinics and take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Connecticut.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN required).
  • Experience: Experience in cardiology and/or cardiac electrophysiology is strongly preferred.
