V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Staff Tech, MDO (HAZMAT Coordinator) to join our team!

Position Scope And Charter

We are seeking candidates for the position of Staff Tech, MDO (HAZMAT Coordinator) at the Indianapolis site. The individual will be part of the Manufacturing and Depot Operations (MDO) team. The candidate will be responsible for the inventory, ordering, storage, and issuing of hazardous materials and will work with both internal and eternal customers to ensure operational needs are met throughout the site.

Essential Tasks

The following is a sample of various taskings required for this role. The omission of specific responsibilities does not exclude them from the position if the tasking is comparable or logically associated to the position.

  • Assists in the daily operation and management of the Hazardous Materials Management Program.
  • Receives, issues, stores, and inventories hazardous materials located in bulk storage as well as the hazardous materials cabinets throughout the manufacturing area.
  • Create proper labels for hazardous materials to include expiration dates.
  • Process new chemical requests through the HAA’S system and our Environmental Health and Safety Department.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptive to learning new job responsibilities and tasks within the

Manufacturing and Depot Operations functions.

  • Demonstrated ability to interface in a confident manner to a wide variety of internal and external

customers, peers, and management in order to accomplish taskings.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize new software.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of standard HAZMAT handling and storage procedures
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Experience with HAA’S or other hazardous materials systems
