Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to lead and develop our Dream Home team. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the national Dream Home and Showplace programs, overseeing 44+ campaigns with an average value of $1M each. The Director will be responsible for nationwide development and relationship management with media and construction industry partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the Dream Home team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Operational Management: Directly manage the daily operations of the Dream Home and Showplace programs, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer service.
  • Strategic Vision: Develop and drive strategic initiatives to generate revenue, contain costs, and identify new business opportunities and program expansion.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Collaborate with the Dream Home Senior Director to establish and implement SOPs and core standards for all campaigns, including guidelines for builders, developers, and subcontractors.
  • Campaign Oversight: Oversee all aspects of campaign operations, ensuring annual budget growth and adherence to responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Fundraising Expertise: Deep understanding of raffle-based fundraising, audience engagement, and marketing techniques.
  • Industry Relationships: Strong relationships with media partners and a solid understanding of market economics, particularly in the housing market.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Ability to attain specialized knowledge in the operation of the ALSAC-St. Jude’s Dream Home program.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with the building community, staff members, and executives.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in understanding complex verbal and written instructions and data processing applications.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in home building, development, or construction.
  • Preferred Experience: Proven experience in campaign sponsorship and familiarity with ALSAC division processes and systems.
  • Travel Requirements: This position will require travel.
