Summary:

The Employee Benefits Account Executive collaborates with the Consultant to support all phases of strategy, development and implementation of our clients Employee Benefits Health and Welfare plans. Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure outcomes and timely deliverables to clients and carriers. Expected to have regular client contact as established by service calendar timelines, act as a client advocate in the resolution of complex issues, educate and support the client service needs. Thorough understanding of employee benefits products including but not limited to underwriting and rating concepts encompassing fully insured, level funded and self-funded medical programs, and ancillary products. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and a high degree of accuracy. Demonstrated ability to interact with others effectively, utilizing strong written and verbal communications skills, providing information and guidance as needed to achieve business goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the Consultant and other team members to create a strategic employee benefits program.
  • Manage renewals, direct marketing activities and ensure that the strategic goals and deliverable expectations are met. Communicate final carrier and coverage decisions and oversee the implementation of any changes.
  • Ability to problem solve, make independent decisions, set and meet deadlines, organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide guidance on State and Federal compliance regulations.
  • Maintain excellent performance standards and act as role model and mentor to other service colleagues.
  • Keep informed of industry trends, marketplace opportunities, and changes in legislation and technology to continually improve knowledge and performance.
  • Be an active contributor.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5-7 years experience with an insurance carrier, or brokerage with increasing responsibility
