About the Role

FareHarbor, a Booking.com company, is looking for a full time Engineer with experience in PHP, Javascript, WordPress, UX, design, accessibility and modern web standards to join the FareHarbor.me team in Denver or remote. The FareHarbor.me team works primarily on our managed website platform which powers thousands of our clients custom websites.

What you’ll do here:

  • Write clean PHP, JavaScript, HTML(Twig) and (S)CSS
  • Create and build user-facing features to be integrated on thousands of client websites
  • Work with project managers to create and build custom features for Enterprise client websites on occasion
  • Review pull requests, and write technical documentation for our engineers
  • Help and share knowledge with other engineers
  • Help develop a robust design framework that enables easy superficial theming.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience working with large-scale production codebases and mission-critical systems
  • Strong PHP knowledge
  • Strong JavaScript knowledge
  • Strong WordPress knowledge
  • Strong semantic HTML and CSS knowledge of modern and legacy techniques for building reusable components and layouts
  • Good knowledge of web content accessibility guidelines
  • A penchant eye for good web design
  • Very strong understanding of web fundamentals
  • Experience with TWIG is a big plus, but not required
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Motivated, hard-working, and able to lead by example

Salary Range: 96,000-144,000, plus 10% bonus potential
