About The Role 

We are looking for a Director of Procurement & Logistics to join our Home Operations team and partner with our Principal Interior Designer on the purchase, delivery, and installation of FF&E for our homes. This person will be the champion of the onboarding process, ensuring everything is ordered, placed, and ready for our owners. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, leaning in to their ability to stay organized and problem solve in any situation.

What You'll Do:  

  • Lead all strategic procurement and purchasing related matters
  • Join the strategic management of procurement and interior design to scale our portfolio
  • Monitor inventory, and own the search and procurement process of FF&E: Compare prices, specifications and delivery dates to assist in determining the best bid, track the status of requisitions, contracts and orders, and calculate relevant costs
  • Work with vendors to resolve discrepancies or issues while monitoring and evaluating supplier performance of costs and quality of goods received / services purchased
  • Assist the procurement team in coordinating with receiving company's to anticipate item arrivals and schedule expected delivery dates/times
  • Oversee requests for materials, prepare purchase orders, keep track of purchases and supplies, and handle inquiries about orders
  • Assist the procurement team to respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations
  • Maintain a keen eye for process improvement by challenging current processes and suggesting improvements
  • Leverage data and analytics to develop new strategies to drive performance and cost
  • Write strategy documents that clearly communicate supply chain vision
  • Maintain accurate procurement / budget records and collate information for a weekly procurement review
  • Other duties may be assigned as-needed
  • Travel about 25-40% of the time 

About You:  

  • 8-10 years of Purchasing, Procurement, or related experience
  • Knowledge and comprehension of end to end procurement processes and best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized and able to effectively manage competing priorities with the ability to thrive under high pressure
  • Very strong contract negotiation experiences
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively cross functionally, independently, and proactively 
  • Demonstrate maturity and ability to drive cross-functional and cross-regional improvement projects
  • Global experience a plus 
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus 
  • Interior Design experience is a plus
