Description

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a flair for translating complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation? This role offers a blend of remote work flexibility and on-site engagement, providing a dynamic work environment where your expertise will make a real impact. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining essential Information Security Plans, Policies, Standards, and related documentation while working closely with various internal teams to ensure compliance with both business and security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create and revise documentation, including Information Security Plans, Policies, and Procedures.
  • Support Plans of Action and Milestones (POAM) processes, ensuring adherence to Federal and State regulatory requirements.
  • Develop documents for CMS regulation compliance to meet cybersecurity laws and regulations.
  • Utilize graphics, diagrams, and charts to enhance understanding and make complex information more digestible.
  • Actively participate in project meetings, documenting key points and capturing essential elements for decision-making.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in IT-related work and technical writing.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Organization: Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail while maintaining an understanding of the bigger picture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with writing System Security Plans or similar documents.
  • Familiarity with CMS MARS-E 2.2 or NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience with Bizagi or eGRC tools.
  • Public sector experience is a plus.

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Additional technical writing experience or relevant certifications.
