Description

We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with acute care backgrounds in ER, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine to join our dynamic team serving the Reno community. In this role, you will collaborate with Medical Technicians and have access to the tools necessary to manage a variety of injuries and illnesses. From routine care to complex treatments, you will conduct comprehensive health assessments, including diagnosis, treatment, and management for patients of all ages.

Our innovative care model allows us to bring healthcare directly to patients' homes, offering services like lab tests, minor procedures, wound care, IV therapy, and more. We take a holistic approach to care by ensuring timely follow-ups and coordination with other healthcare providers. Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a clinical team to deliver care directly in patients' homes.
  • Conduct thorough health assessments, diagnosis of complex conditions, and development of treatment plans.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and critical thinking for care decisions.
  • Accurately document patient interactions and manage follow-up care.
  • Educate patients and families on managing acute illnesses and promoting wellness.
  • Navigate sensitive conversations related to end-of-life care when necessary.
  • Maintain clinical and safety standards while providing compassionate care.
  • Act as a leader in practice, ensuring decisions prioritize the patient's best interest.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of experience as an APP (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Cardiology, or Pulmonology.
  • Graduate of an accredited advanced practice program.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • National board certification and current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
  • DEA license and prescriptive authority.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs comfortably.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
