Your Role


Reporting to the Head of M&A Germany & Northern Europe, you will play a crucial role in driving our growth strategy through strategic acquisitions, mergers, and partnerships within the renewable energy sector. Your responsibilities:


  • Support the search of solar PV/wind platforms in Germany to complete an acquisition before 2025 as well as additional inorganic or partnership-based growth opportunities
  • Develop sourcing strategies for opportunities, levering on existing contacts and expanding business network of developers, banks, etc.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of complex financial models and financial valuation of opportunities using different methods (DCF, multiples, etc.)
  • Responsible for producing the investment recommendation presentations (investment memorandums) for internal investment committees and for investor fund investment committees
  • Support the Head of M&A Germany and Northern Europe in defending the investment thesis before management and investment committees, including the board of directors
  • Monitor and update the opportunity pipeline and required actions, as well as recommend and prioritize leads
  • Prepare and negotiate non-binding and binding offers for the potential acquisition of opportunities
  • Manage the complete due diligence process for opportunities, including selection, negotiation of proposals, and coordination of internal and external advisors (financial, legal, tax, commercial, etc.)
  • Support the negotiation of transaction documentation (SPAs, Development Services Agreements, etc.) in coordination with internal teams and external advisors


Your Profile


We are looking for a new team member with strong analytical skills, industry knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams. Furthermore, you should bring the following:


  • Bachelor´s degree or Master’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in corporate development, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or infrastructure funds in the energy sector, with extensive recent experience in the renewables sector (wind, solar PV, storage and P2X)
  • Full expertise in all aspects involving an M&A buy-side and sell-side renewables transaction and project financing in Germany
  • In-depth understanding of the electricity and renewables sector in Germany (market dynamics, regulation, development/permitting process, PPA schemes, off-taker universe, etc.)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams under tight deadlines and complex processes
  • Willingness to travel
  • Extremely high proactivity, open personality and passionate about the development of renewable energies.
  • Highly proficient in both spoken and written German and English.
