Your missions

Lichfield Arts strives to give everyone in and around Lichfield the opportunity to create, experience and be inspired by music and the arts. Help us fund our activities by securing corporate sponsorship from local businesses.

What difference will you make?

Your inputs will deliver an essential element of our overall fundraising income upon which our organisation is dependent. Without this income we simply couldn't stage the amazing concerts, festivals and outreach projects that we have been delivering consistently over the past 50 years.

What are we looking for?

You will need to have at least 3 years' professional experience of fundraising, ideally including the securing of sponsorship from businesses and other organisations. You will need to show Commitment to our charity's cause. Good links and connections with the local business community. The ability to build and maintain relationships. Creativity, imagination and an entrepreneurial attitude. Drive and enthusiasm to pursue opportunities to their conclusion. The ability to influence others using excellent communication skills. Good organisational and project management skills. The ability to motivate others and work as part of a team.

What will you be doing?

The role will involve Creating imaginative offers such as event sponsorship opportunities to put to local businesses that will provide them with attractive benefits in return for their funding. Identifying and pursuing businesses worth approaching with the aim of closing successful deals. Initially the role will focus on corporate fundraising for our July 2024 Fuse Festival, which is our largest event and is an immediate priority. The role will subsequently broaden out to encompass corporate fundraising across the whole organisation. In undertaking the role you will need to Review and, where appropriate, build on previous work undertaken and collateral generated. Coordinate with other members of our team, including those involved in applying for grants from trusts and securing donations. Ensure accurate records are maintained of corporate fundraising opportunities and progress in targeting them. The work is expected to comprise a combination of desk-based activities (including for researching potential businesses, devising corporate sponsorship collateral, handling emails and phone calls) and some face-to-face work (including internal team meetings and meetings with potential corporate sponsors).
