Job description

This is an opportunity to join a professional, collaborative Trustee team whose aim is to give financial support to ACCA members, past and present, and their families. It includes opportunities to develop as part of your wider career.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with an interest in charities and who can help to develop our Benevolent Fund. Someone with a positive attitude, effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Someone who is aware of how charities operate and the role of trustees and committees. Knowledge of Charity Governance Code and the Nolan Principles. Someone with the ability to think strategically and operationally, understanding when a detailed assessment is necessary and when a more general approach is appropriate. Ability to think outside the box to contribute to strategic discussions and to assimilate information quickly and deal with fast moving discussions. Ability to respect boundaries between executive and governance functions. Demonstrate an understanding of social trends and their implications for those in times of hardship and need. Understand the need for and actively demonstrate confidentiality. Ability to give and receive feedback objectively and sensitively and a willingness to challenge constructively. Available to use specific skills obtained in your professional and personal life. Commitment to the charity and its work.
