Summary

The Solutions Architect is an expert Python, SQL, and AWS backend engineer who is responsible for helping BriteCore’s Insurance Policy Administration customers solve their most complex challenges. This position is ideal for someone who has built strong relationships with customers, has large scale enterprise engineering experience, and has a passion for transitioning to modern technology. What you’ll do

  • Design and implement highly scalable and reliable B2B enterprise integrations
  • Collaborate with customers and Product Management to craft enhancements, write epics/stories, and bring them to life through code
  • Craft reporting solutions in a regulated environment, ensuring compliance and reliability
  • Providing top-tier support to our large-scale customers, ensuring their success
  • Deepen your expertise in mutual P&C insurance best practices and workflows
  • Get hands-on with coding, tackling complex issues alongside our engineering team
  • Engage in regular meetings with executive engineering teams at our key customers
  • Offer enterprise-level support to BriteCore Customers, aiding in customizations to our platform
  • Partner with customer development leaders to optimize our Python monolith, supporting their innovations and growth
  • Streamline and upgrading our legacy data delivery and reporting solution, leveraging SQL and Quicksite datasets
  • Collaborate with DevOps to implement effective DataDog monitoring for uptime and scalability, ensuring top-notch performance


What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 8+ years experience coding in Python in an enterprise SaaS environment
  • 5+ years of experience with B2B integrations at scale
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with RIA technologies and patterns, including Vue, jQuery, React.js, and Knockout.js
  • Well versed and comfortable with a Linux operating environment, including application debugging, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Proven expertise in MySQL or similar SQL databases, adept at optimizing databases and queries, fine-tuning application performance, and crafting cloud-native application designs for seamless delivery
  • Mastery of AWS technologies, including EC2, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3 for files and vendor integrations, CloudWatch for query writing, and proficiency in architecting workflows using Step Functions
  • Experience leveraging DataDog for application optimization and issue identification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Scrappy, comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and learning as you go


Bonus points

  • Experience working at a startup company
  • 1+ year of experience working in the Property & Casualty (P&C) space
  • Familiar with Jinja code, code templates
