Compensation: $105,000 - $120,000 per year. You are eligible to a Short-Term Incentive Plan with the target at 7.5% of your annual earnings, terms and conditions apply.
Project Manager-Remote USA (West Coast Candidates preferred)
The Sr. Project Manager is responsible to lead achievement of multiple, complex projects maintaining project objectives and completion on time, on budget, and in conformance to Ambry Genetics’ project management methodologies and standards for all projects. The Sr. Project Manager works independently under general direction assuming primary responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating and delivering project activities through the entire project life cycle. This role will have the opportunity to manage projects across the business. The Project Manager will be part of the Project Management Organization (PMO) at Ambry Genetics.
Essential Functions
- Lead project teams of moderate and complex projects.
- Prepares project plans, financial analysis, schedules, and budgets by using project management tools and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete a project.
- Communicates project status by preparing standard status reports / meeting minutes, and by participating in PMO and customer project status update meetings.
- Resolves project issues by working with internal and external team members, project customers, and escalates issues appropriately.
- Influences middle management on technical or business solutions.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- REQUIRED: Biotech or domain such as LIMS, experience is required
- Excellent customer and service focus
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in scheduling tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or Excel Gantt, or similar project management tools
- Experience with software product development life cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with agile and scrum best practices
- Demonstrated success working with a team. Must be able to influence without authority
- Wide application of technical principles, practices, and procedures. Strong understanding of business unit function and cross group dependencies/relationships.
- 4+ years of project management experience
- 4+ years of project management experience in life sciences
- 8+ years of related work experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in IT engineering and/or life sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
- PMP certification is desired
- Demonstrated knowledge of operational/logistical aspects of lab settings, or an equivalent regulated environment a plus
