The Job:  

As a Senior Director, Global Brand Insights you’ll be part of our Global Insights team working as a remote employee.  You’ll get to:  

  • Provide regular and actionable input into the strategy and key priorities of the function. 
  • Create strong partnerships with Brand leadership and the Category Management team. 
  • Build advocacy for sustained organizational investment in end user, shopper and market understanding. 
  • Seek out and share knowledge on emerging global market and industry trends, consumer behavior and white space opportunities relevant to the Tools and Outdoor Business Unit 
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities based on global market and consumer insights. 
  • Provide recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities in different regions. 
  • Optimize learning and global research opportunities to efficiently meet business needs. 
  • Recommend and manage the research budget for the workgroup. 
  • Create, align with senior leaders, and implement strategic learning plans to address the most critical questions for the business. 
  • Guide research development and execution using expertise in a wide variety of research methods. 
  • Identify and test innovative tools and techniques for more efficient and effective research. 
  • Manage and grow a high functioning team of Strategic Insights professionals. 
  • Create a sense of direction and long-term plan for the workgroup. 
  • Create and align work plans for employees that ladder up to the business goals. 
  • Seek out and enable professional and functional development within the team. 

The Person:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA a plus.
  • 15+ years of professional experience in Consumer Insights and/or a combination of Brand Development, Marketing Strategy, Marketing, Product/Project Management.
  • Experience in managing others.
  • Expertise in a variety of qualitative and quantitative consumer research techniques and analytics.
