Position Overview
 
The Testing Lead will have a specialization in planning, designing, creating, monitoring and managing test cycles and environments as part of a complex SAP transformation program. Additionally, the Testing Lead will lead the implementation of an automated testing tool and administer it as part of a strategy to enable efficient, consistent, and accurate testing.
 
This is a contractor position.  This is a remote position based in the United States.
 
 
Required Skillsets
  • At least two years' experience in software testing and quality-related roles
  • Experience as part of an ERP project implementation team or ERP support team
  • Experience developing test plans and test scripts, executing testing, and managing defect resolution
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of software testing best practices
  • Familiarity with test environments and test data management
  • Leadership experience in test automation preferred, but not required
  • Experience using/implementing SAP preferred, but not required
  • Lead and collaborate with business and IT stakeholders on all aspects of testing approach including testing strategy (Unit and Integration Testing), test planning, data requirements, testing execution, defect resolution
  • Lead the development of test strategy to enable efficient and effective testing execution for the SAP Transformation program
  • Lead the definition of the scope of testing within the context of each release / phased go-live
  • Collaboration with project, IT and business stakeholders to define, develop and execute test scenarios and validate test scripts
  • Lead execution and management of test cycles, defect monitoring and test cycle status reporting
  • Build and lead the testing team to ensure successful test cycles and deliver a quality solution
  • Deploy and manage resources for testing
  • Apply the appropriate test measurements and metrics to monitor and report progress and status
  • Plan, deploy and manage the testing for future projects, releases, and upgrades
  • Define test automation strategy, best practices, project structure, and review processes
  • Lead the implementation of an automated testing tool
  • Perform test infrastructure setup, upgrades, and migrations for an automated testing tool
  • Manage users, projects, and test portfolios within an automated testing tool
  • Integrate the automated testing tool with third-party tools/applications
  • Conduct regular reviews and maintenance of the test portfolio to ensure adherence to best practices
  • Define upgrade and maintenance approaches and perform necessary upgrades and migrations of an automated testing tool
  • Coordination of testing resources with business and IT to ramp up testing resourcing during test cycles
  • Ensure proper training and orientation for testers prior to onboarding
  • Experience leading teams
