About the Role: 

As a Senior Strategic analyst you will be part of the core spend management team building out and growing Motive’s financial product division.  You will be working extensively on quantitative problems in the risk and fraud space, you will be charged as the analytics thought leader and expected to drive insights through the organization.  You will partner closely with both the Product, Engineering, as well as Data Science teams. We are seeking strong team players who thrive on innovation and continuous improvement.

You will be joining a new team driving the creation of our new products to support our more than 100k customers.  Your contributions will directly feed into our decision making on how to grow the product.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Own risk and fraud analytics in Motive financial products division.
  • Perform deepdive analysis to share with leadership, identifying risk and fraud opportunities
  • Manage roadmap for the team
  • Collaborate with data science team on model improvements and adjustments
  • Mentor more junior analysts

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field, e.g. Computer Science, Math, Economics, or Statistics
  • 7+ years experience in quantitative analysis 
  • Python and SQL, advanced working knowledge, and fluent in data analysis and mining tools.
  • Quantitative risk or fraud analysis and understanding of financial concepts involved in understanding customer risk.
  • Strong quantitative reasoning skills
  • Business problem solving- Candidate should be able to clearly articulate the business problem and solution in simple terms
