Job Description Summary

As Labour Relations Leader, Europe you will advice and lead on employee and union or works council relations. You will advise GE Aerospace management on legal/labour law/regulatory issues and risk management and interpret internal and external business challenges to recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services. You will utilise your understanding of industry trends to inform on decision making process.

Job Description

Advisory Role:

  • Provide advice and leadership on employee and union/work council relations.
  • Advise management on legal, labour law, regulatory issues, and risk management.
  • Lead Labour Relations teams or operations for such teams.

Expertise Development:

  • Develop expertise within the function and grow reputation within the organisation.
  • Provide professional or thought leadership and influence policy.
  • Ensure delivery within the function, linking with other organisational functions.

Leadership and Influence:

  • Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and complexity.
  • Present business solutions to leaders in the functional area.
  • Communicate complex messages and negotiate internally and externally.
  • Influence peers and negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.

Impact and Decision Making:

  • Influence small business units or segments within larger business units.
  • Have ownership/influence over budgets and guide functional policy.
  • Lead others to find creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Evaluate the quality of information and question conflicting data for analysis.
  • Use multiple internal and external resources to arrive at decisions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in Human Resources and Labour Relations.
  • Knowledge level comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems.
