The role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team. You will report to the Financial Controller and play a key role in reporting and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making across our global team.
This position requires a high level of financial acumen, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statementsAnalyse financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying drivers behind trends and variances to support informed decision-makingProvide insight and analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to support business objectives, including development of new KPIs as appropriate
Financial Planning & Strategy
Work with senior management to develop financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term objectivesSupport business case development for new initiatives, projects, or investments, providing financial input and analysisConduct financial analysis on key business initiatives, providing recommendations for profitability improvements
Client Project Accounting
Generate client project reporting, ensuring accurate revenue and expense recognitionProvide client project analysis highlighting performance insights (revenue, margin, efficiency / utilisation, etc.)
Cost Analysis & Control
Maintain cost accounting processes and controls to ensure accurate tracking of expensesAnalyse operational costs, ensuring alignment with budget and identifying opportunities for efficienciesSupport procurement and supplier management by analysing cost structures and suggesting improvements
Process Improvement & Compliance
Identify and implement improvements in financial reporting processes and systemsEnsure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with auditors during the financial audit process.
Stakeholder Engagement
Communicate financial performance to senior leadership, offering strategic recommendations based on financial analysisServe as a key point of contact between finance and other departments, providing financial insights to non-financial managers and acting as a leading voice for finance in cross-functional, collaborative projectsSkills & QualificationsProfessional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA)Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the technology or consulting industryProven experience in management accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecastingStrong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory complianceAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with financial software and ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred)Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insightsStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholdersAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
