The role


As a Software Developer within our software development department, you will be instrumental in shaping the digital learning experience for university students through our education platform. Your role involves designing, developing, and refining software solutions that directly impact student engagement and learning outcomes. Working closely with a team dedicated to educational technologies, you will research, evaluate, and implement software enhancements tailored to the evolving needs of the academic community. This position focuses on improving platform performance, ensuring seamless software-hardware integration, and contributing to the development and maintenance of applications that enrich the student learning experience. Your expertise will also support the continuous improvement of our team's skills and the integration of the latest technologies within our educational framework.


Role responsibilities:


  • Researching, designing, and managing software programs
  • Testing and evaluating new programs
  • Modifying software to fix error, improve its performance
  • Deploying software tools, processes and metrics
  • Preparing reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status
  • Developing, scaling, optimizing & maintaining small- & large-scale web applications.
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support activities for the knowledge enhancement of the internal development team.

 

Key skills and experience:


  • Substantial experience working in Full Stack development with strong skills in Javascript, ReactJS, NodeJS.
  • Experience in working with DevOps tools. Ex. Github Actions.
  • Experience with javascript ORMs. Ex Prisma,TypeORM,etc.
  • Experience with GraphQL query language.
  • Strong understanding of database design; Experience in Postgresql.
  • Experience in developing Full Stack testing with frameworks like Jest, Mocha, etc.
  • Familiarity with Cloud technologies. Containers, Docker, Cloud Providers (GCP, AWS)
  • Experience in Test Driven Development
  • Experience working in an environment using Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity using version control tools like git.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and communication skills.
