Job Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced and passionate East Africa Travel Specialist. If you’ve travelled extensively to Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya and are enthusiastic about creating personalized travel itineraries for discerning clients, this is the perfect role for you. As a member of the tailor-made team, you will be responsible for crafting luxury holidays, managing client relationships, and providing in-depth advice on East African destinations. You’ll work from home while helping to design unique experiences for high-end clients.

Responsibilities

• Create bespoke and tailor-made holidays throughout East Africa, including flights, luxury hotels, lodges, tours, excursions, and travel extras.
• Use your East Africa product knowledge to provide expert advice and recommendations to clients, ensuring their trips are memorable.
• Manage client accounts from the start of their journey to the end, offering excellent customer service throughout.
• Participate in familiarization (FAM) trips to East Africa to enhance product knowledge and better serve clients.
• Sell holiday packages to direct customers, offering a wide range of options including safaris, honeymoons, beach breaks, guided tours, and more.
• Upsell additional travel services to ensure a comprehensive and luxurious experience for clients.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Extensive travel experience across East Africa, specifically in Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya, with strong product knowledge of the region.
• Experience in sales within the travel industry, ideally in a tour operator or travel agency setting (B2B and B2C experience preferred).
• Proven ability to sell luxury leisure travel packages, ideally with experience working for tour operators like Freedom Africa, Abercrombie & Kent, Yellow Zebra Safaris, Scott Dunn, Audley Travel, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring seamless travel arrangements for clients.
