The purpose of this role is to support the Case Management teams by providing up-to-date technical guidance on the compensation payment schemes and assisting in their administration. This position operates in a customer centric environment that focuses on the pro-active management of claims.
 
This will be a full time, permanent or 12 month contract position based in the Tweed Heads office, with flexibility to work from home once fully trained. We also have a relocation bonus available for any elgibile candidates.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and work with the team on solutions to maximise the effectiveness of case management.
  • Ensure claims teams achieve performance and KPA targets as set out as part of the BU performance framework.
  • In conjunction with the Team Leader identify, develop and implement effective strategies to support the achievement of key performance and remuneration measures.
  • Provide regular advice and feedback to internal stakeholders to improve overall quality of decisions relating to liability, work capacity, permanent impairment, weekly payment entitlements and communication through effective training, quality reviews and management of disputes.

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong technical experience in NSW legislation workers compensation claims
  • Proven experience coaching & mentoring case managers in the workers compensation industry
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of relevant NSW Workers compensation laws and the associated regulations
  • You have previous experience working as a case manager or a technical specialist background
  • Tertiary studies in Allied Health or Legislation is desirable but not mandatory
