About the role

(Please note: Can be based in WA, SA, NSW, VIC or QL)

The Manager Workplace Resolutions & Compliance is responsible for the following:

  • Investigating and managing complex people matters and ensuring investigation processes are conducted in a thorough, ethical, confidential, and professional manner aligned to Team Global Express values.

  • Supporting the business on employee-related matters, offering leadership with insights into current and emerging employee relations risks and opportunities, and driving innovative solutions.

  • Ensuring best practice governance and sustainable compliance with employment law, including legislative reforms, industrial instruments, policies, and employment contracts, while proactively identifying risks and opportunities that may arise from future changes.

  • Providing legal and strategic advice on employment-related governance and compliance to help achieve long-term commercial and operational goals, with a focus on continuous improvement and leveraging technology to streamline processes.

What you’ll do

  • Provide timely, accurate and commercial advice and support in respect of all people.

  • Leverage digital tools and platforms to efficiently manage complex people matters, including misconduct, grievances, and policy breaches. Drive innovative solutions that enhance conflict resolution and compliance management.

  • Provide advice and support in business change activities; on matters of compliance and interpretation across the suite of people related platforms.

  • Ensure best practice governance, while staying ahead of industry changes by engaging in continuous learning and upskilling. Promote a learning culture within the team, focusing on future legal and compliance trends.

  • Lead initiatives that advance business unit operational and strategic outcomes consistent with the broader business objectives and I&ER Standard.

  • Partner with the People team and senior leaders to build I&ER capability across the business

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualification in law, human resources and/or industrial and employee relations 

  • At least 5 years' demonstrated experience working in an industrial/employee relation/human resources position managing, triaging, and end to end resolution of complex employee matters.

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex employee related matters, including conflict resolution, investigation processes and workplace compliance.

  • Meticulous attention to detail with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated capability of building and maintaining strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
