The opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Asset Accountant within Central Services at Alpine Resorts Victoria. The Asset Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the organisation's fixed asset records. This role involves tracking the acquisition, depreciation, and disposal of assets, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures, and supporting financial reporting. The Asset Accountant will work closely with various departments to ensure that asset-related transactions are accurately recorded in the financial system.


Please note that we have offices located at each of our six resorts, including corporate offices in Mansfield and Lilydale. However, we will consider fully remote working for the right candidate.



What we’re looking for:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, especially related to fixed assets.
  • Understanding of the Victorian State Government Financial Reporting Directions, Standing Directions and Asset Management Accountability Framework.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Qualifications required:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on fixed asset management.
  • Accounting experience in a Victorian public sector context is an advantage.
