As a Lactation Coach, you'll play a vital role in providing guidance, education, and support to new mothers, ensuring they have the resources and knowledge they need to successfully breastfeed their babies. Job Description

  • Conduct one-on-one consultations with mothers to assess breastfeeding challenges and provide personalised guidance and support.
  • Offer evidence-based information on breastfeeding techniques, positioning, latch, milk production, and addressing common breastfeeding concerns.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to mothers as they navigate the ups and downs of breastfeeding.
  • Stay updated on the latest research, trends, and best practices in lactation support to continually enhance the quality of care provided.

Qualifications

  • Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working with breastfeeding mothers and infants in a clinical or virtual setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with mothers and their families.
  • Knowledge of maternal and infant health, breastfeeding physiology, and common breastfeeding challenges.
  • Proficient in conducting assessments, developing care plans, and providing evidence-based lactation support.
  • Commitment to promoting breastfeeding as the optimal feeding choice for infants and supporting mothers in achieving their breastfeeding goals.
