ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Trade Marketing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing trade marketing strategies that align with our business objectives and strengthen our partnerships within the design community. This position requires a mix of strategic thinking, creative execution, and hands-on project management.


This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of the interior design industry, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Trade Marketing Specialist will work closely with the Trade Sales Team to drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth within social, email and event channels.


This individual will also work cross functionally with internal brand marketing partners across all brands to ensure initiatives are aligned across all channels. The Trade Marketing Specialist must be an organized multitasker, able to handle many diverse projects simultaneously, work cross functionally and meet deadlines.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and Implement Trade Marketing Plans: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create and execute B2B/Trade marketing campaigns that drive sales and brand awareness.
  • Sales Support + Content Creation: Work with Trade sales team to create tailored marketing materials, presentations, and tools for client engagement and trade show activities that align with the brand’s messaging and goals.
  • Content Collaboration: Assist in the creation and collaboration of content by partnering with our marketing team to utilize our design community’s content and increase Trade engagement by sharing their work through Schoolhouse’s channels.
  • Event Management: Support the planning and execution of Trade events with external partners, vendors and designers. This will include industry Trade shows, designer meet-and-greets, and product launches. Ensure all events are well-organized and effectively promote the brand.
  • Retailer Partnerships: Collaborate with retailers and designers to develop in-store displays, promotions, and co-branded marketing efforts.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive activity within the interior design industry. Use insights to inform marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key Trade partners, designers, and industry influencers. Assist in managing communication and ensuring that marketing efforts align with their needs and expectations.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Measure the success of trade marketing campaigns and initiatives, provide actionable insights to optimize future efforts.
  • Budget Management: Manage and track trade marketing budgets and expenditures, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Trade Sales Team, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and maintaining marketing materials and databases.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in marketing, preferable within the B2B or design community
  • Strong understanding of the interior design industry and Trade community
  • Strong understanding of trade marketing strategies and experience executing marketing plans from concept to completion
  • Experience working with traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, external partners)
  • Proficient in marketing software and tools including CRM systems, email marketing platforms, social media management, analytics and reporting
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


COMPENSATION

This is an exempt role. The target pay range for this role is between $70,000 to $85,000. This role is eligible for a bonus.
