As a Director, you will work in close partnership with startup CEOs to effectively raise an investment round, from kickoff to close. We’re looking for a dynamic professional with experience managing internal and external stakeholders to oversee the operations, strategy, and overall deal performance of the raise.

What will you be doing?

Contribute to, and ultimately lead, the strategy, operations, and deal performance for startups raising capital, in partnership with CEOs/founders, their teams, and the Capital Department team:

Strategy

  • Lead customer calls with CEOs/founders and their teams.
  • Manage strategic partnerships with relevant agencies and/or investor networks, as applicable.
  • Oversee campaign performance tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  • Design and implement internal systems, strategies, and tools to enhance fundraising outcomes and scale operations


Operations

  • Implement and manage strategic investor pipelines composed of venture capital firms, angel investors, high-net-worth individuals, CEOs, and other key stakeholders.
  • Keep a regular pulse on communications, tracking leads as they move through the pipeline and providing meaningful, data-driven insights to inform fundraising strategy.
  • Understand unique customer profiles, raise details, and tools available to set campaigns up for success, and work with the team to optimize performance along the way.


What are we looking for?

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Creative, curious thinkers who thrive in startup environments, where ambiguity and uncertainty are the norm.
  • Effective communicators who are clear, responsive, and diligent.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for the startup world and enthusiasm for working closely with entrepreneurs.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong record of academic and/or professional or personal achievement.
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets or Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.


What experience would be an added bonus?

  • Experience at a fast-growing company or an entrepreneurial background (including as a founder!).
  • Previous experience in fundraising, client services, or at a venture firm, accelerator, or agency.
  • Background in finance or financial sector.
  • Experience writing for a business audience; storytelling and experience writing investor communications a plus.
  • Advanced degrees, especially an MBA or a management-related degree.

Total Compensation: $125K-$150K
