Director, SEC Reporting Job Description

As Director, SEC Reporting, your primary responsibility is to oversee the SEC filing process, provide strategic guidance and contribute to financial management.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the preparation of forms and financial statements to be filed with the SEC and other external parties
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Term Loan reporting requirements
  • Provide advice on technical accounting issues, researching appropriate guidance, benchmarking peer disclosures, and drafting or reviewing technical accounting memos or position papers
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors to support the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations.
  • Operate within the Company's SOX compliance controls in connection with the preparation of the Company's financial reporting process.
  • Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting rules being deliberated by the SEC, FASB, PCAOB, agencies or other regulators
  • Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Identify and report on potential future business, finance, and accounting matters that could impact the company's financial statements.
  • Participate in Controlling functional management and strategy.
  • Serve as a business advisor on accounting and reporting matters to senior leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • SEC reporting experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels in organization
  • CPA license (active or inactive)
