Loan Portfolio Analyst

Small Business Lending LLC is looking for a Loan Portfolio Analyst.

The Loan Portfolio Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing the performance of a portfolio of loans. This role involves assessing loan risk, monitoring portfolio performance, preparing detailed reports, and providing recommendations to optimize portfolio performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Processing weekly remittance to investors as needed
• Selling guaranteed portion of loans on the secondary market
• Preparing documents for guaranteed loan sales
• Posting secondary market settlements onto loan servicing system
• Maintain and reconcile Cash Balancing and Suspense worksheets to General Ledger on a daily/monthly basis
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Processing deferments, Note modifications, payoff quotes, and accrual status changes
• Reconcile loans and participations to ensure accurate accounting of loans serviced
• Develop and maintain portfolio data spreadsheets for stratification analysis
• Tracking and reporting portfolio performance and emerging trends for lending risk analysis
• Ensure timely, accurate, and complete reconciliation of borrowing bases
• Generate monthly reports for client serviced portfolios and securitizations
• Analyze and reconcile new client loan portfolios prior to servicing conversion
• Generate ad hoc reports for management
  
  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 5+ years experience in Lending, Banking, or Auditing
• Prior experience servicing loans
• Experience building and maintaining SQL scripts and queries for data analysis and extraction preferred
• Excel-proficiency creating pivot tables, writing formulas and macros. Loan Manager experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
  
  

Education & Certification Requirements

• B.A. in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics
  
  

Salary Range: $75,000 to $110,000 per year
