Job Summary

We are seeking a Content Manager that will have the primary responsibility for researching relevant travel topics, creating and implementing thoughtful content plans, and collaborating with a creative/production team to develop content plans that translate to digital campaigns.

Essential Duties

  • Create high-quality travel marketing content for multiple digital platforms
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage freelancer and blogger relationships
  • Successfully employ SEO best practices to drive traffic to content and knowledge of effective user experience in interactive products
  • Capture, curate, design, write, and produce all social media content and serve as brand voice for the customer
  • Understand and navigate digital media platforms
  • Copyedit digital and print content for grammar/spelling and to ensure overall accuracy, consistency, tone, style, and branding
  • Support other content creators through collaboration on story ideas, copyediting, and proofreading content
  • Drive strategies that are proven by testing and metrics; use the website and campaign analytics to identify trends, assess data, and enhance content performance and traffic

Work Skills And Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in content development and social media community management, preferably with a tourism or features focus
  • Possess an engaging writing style, creativity, and excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient with web content best practices, including SEO, HTML and uploading content into a content management system
  • Possess exceptional leadership skills
  • Able to think strategically and work collaboratively with a team
  • Demonstrate a healthy balance of creative, editorial, and technical skills
  • Able to multitask, perform efficiently and well under tight deadlines
  • Able to manage own workflow while coordinating with project teams and management on schedules, requirements, goals, and assignments as needed
  • Willing to take direction if and when needed, but also work independently
  • Able to respond positively to customer and peer criticism and feedback
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to effectively manage relationships, both internally and externally
  • Display a dependable, strong work ethic
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, professional office environment

Location

We are open to a remote candidate located anywhere in the US or an in-office candidate based in our Sarasota, FL/Lakewood, CO office.

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional intra- and/or inter-state travel required, sometimes requiring an overnight stay

Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 DOE
