Your day to day:

You will be delivering critical assistance to adults and adolescents with psychosocial disabilities, while also providing key assessments for home modifications and assistive technology. Part of your role will be travelling to clients homes conducting relevant assessments for minor and complex assistive technology & home modifications or mental health support, and prescribing relevant technology and therapy plans that promote each clients wellbeing. You will need to take progress notes and produce NDIS reports to document each clients therapy journey and you may also have a few clients that you engage in therapy via telehealth.

How You Will Be Supported

You will have weekly supervision sessions with a Senior Occupational Therapist within your team where you will be able to ask questions about your caseload and receive feedback and advice on your practice. You will also be able to access other Occupational Therapists within your team for informal mentoring to ensure any questions or concerns you have are answered. Additionally, you will receive $1500 professional development allowance for you to undertake external PD courses to support you in your role.
