Your missions

Duties And Responsibilities

Review appointments/schedules to make sure all the appointments were verified by employees and parents, and session notes were completed
Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtain any missing information.
Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing every 2 weeks covering 2 weeks of claims between 3-1 week prior to the submission date
Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe.
Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with the contracted rate
Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary
Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurance
Review accounts for insurance of patient follow-up
Research and appeal denied claims
Answer all patient or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts.
Set up patient payment plans and work collection accounts.
Update billing software (Rethink and excel) with rate changes.
Update cash spreadsheets, and run collection reports.
Review the insurance billing policy every 3 months and update excel accordingly

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in any field.
At least 3 years of experience in medical billing process, AR follow ups and unpaid/denied claims.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies (ERAs, EFTs, EDIs, etc.)
Proficient in navigating and utilizing medical payor portals to identify information.
Familiarity working within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
Experience with medical billing and claims management software.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Amenable to Work on Night Shift
Amenable to Work From Home Set-Up.
