Chemical Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical support and training to customers and co-suppliers in the composite and pultrusion industry; upholding Chem-Trend’s reputation for excellence.
  • Attend technical seminars and tradeshows to ensure Chem-Trend is always at the leading edge of our industry.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, sales representatives, and department managers, ensuring alignment with industry needs for total customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor competitor activity and drive new product development trial and launches.
  • Lead training initiatives for Chem-Trend employees, distributors, and customers.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales or technical support role in the composite or pultrusion industry.
  • Willingness to travel 50%+ nationally, to support the Chem-Trend sales team and its customers (ability to live anywhere in continental US).
  • Experience presenting product and technical information in a group setting.
  • Extensive experience in all Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or business or related field strongly preferred.
