About The Role

Ellipsis Health is creating cutting-edge AI/ML products that solve healthcare staffing issues and administrative burdens using voice and our patented voice biomarker technology. We are headquartered in Silicon Valley and are funded and supported by some of the most preeminent venture capital teams such as Khosla Ventures, Generator Ventures, Luminous Ventures, SpringTide Ventures, CityLight Capital, and SJF Ventures. We are currently looking for an experienced web app developer with significant experience in building commercial-grade consumer-facing web apps that leverage Machine Learning tools and technologies. This is a technical leadership role and you will work closely with our CTO to create an engaging and easy to use healthcare app using ReactJS, Firebase, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Speech-to-Text, LLM, etc. It is a great opportunity to build the next generation of our app that will be used by millions of users all over the world.

What You’ll Do

Build and enhance Ellipsis Health's latest AI/ML product on mobile and desktop browsers
Play the role of a full-stack engineer and write some backend business logic interfacing with industry's leading LLMs
Create unit tests and work with the QA team to ensure high quality
Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Development, and Customer Success teams to incorporate new features in the app
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
Participate in operating the service and meeting out SLA

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science from a reputable college
5+ years of experience working on commercial, consumer-facing web apps
Expert knowledge of ReactJS, Node.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Industry experience with NextJS, OAuth2, JWT, Rest APIs, RDBMS/SQL, NoSQL, Data Modeling/Schema
Familiarity with Machine Learning, LLM APIs, RAG, LangChain/LlamaIndex, etc.
Excellent grasp of algorithms, data structures, and CS concepts such as asynchronous processing, multi-threading, queuing, pub-sub, etc.
Experience working with large-scale SaaS offerings
Experience with public clouds (GCP/AWS/Azure). GCP preferred. Nice to Have
Experience with Agentic AI / Chatbot / Voice Bot
Experience with backend technologies such as Google Firebase, Kafka, S3, ElasticSearch
Experience working in Healthcare
Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, and HIPAA or other regulatory standards
