Job Description
The resident engineer needs to quickly and accurately respond customer’s technical queries or issues. And prepare and arrange jobs efficiently to complete site service on time.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Perform the service at customer's site effectively. Prepare and submit field service report and time sheet for customer's approval. The service scope includes system solving, upgrade, start-up & commissioning, maintenance and application development.
- Implement system expansion/upgrade projects accordingly to PMO process.
- Support customer on site system operation/maintenance training.
- Respond to technical call support request and track for call close timely. Cooperate with the Global Service Centre (GSC) to intensify outstanding system issues and track for solutions and root cause.
- Support LCS Sales team on technical clarification per necessary. Seek the LCC sales opportunities; maintain the close relationship with responsible customers.
- Promote DeltaV Guardian/Foundation Support activities to improve customer’s understanding and adoption on such valuable service function.
- Self-initiative on product technology learning and be certified on Service qualification. Track the Latest system revision and new system product knowledge.
- Keep learning on Knowledge Base Articles (KBA) regarding product applications and sharing experience with team members.
- Support the process of parts failure test and warranty replacement.
- Complete other jobs assigned by supervisor/manager.
Who You Are:
You anticipate customer needs and provides services that are beyond customer expectations. You need to deliver messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner.
For this Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor degree of industrial automation/Process control engineering.
- Over 5 years working experience of DCS/PLC engineering, services and maintenance.
- Strong technical knowledge of Process Automation products, experience with DeltaV BPCS/SIS is preferable.
- Proficient in English and Mandarin (Oral and Written), I.e. CET 6.
- Willing to take domestic and overseas travel, even at short notice for emergency services.
- High degree of initiative and good communication skills, no compromise on teamwork spirit.
- Strong Computer proficiency.
- Capable and willing to work independently and handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
- Occupational Health and Safety Savvy.
