Role Summary

Our client is looking for a Collection Specialist who will be responsible for contacting customers to collect outstanding debts and ensure the timely resolution of accounts. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong sense of empathy, and a drive to achieve results. This role will play a key role in helping to minimize outstanding balances while maintaining positive customer relationships.

SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Central Daylight Time (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

Essential Functions

  • Contact customers via phone, email, and other communication channels to collect outstanding payments
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements that align with company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment statuses in the database
  • Collaborate with the finance team to track payment progress and resolve any discrepancies
  • Provide exceptional customer service, handling all interactions with professionalism and respect
  • Follow up with customers on past-due accounts and escalate issues as needed
  • Meet or exceed monthly collection targets and contribute to team goals

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in the related field
  • Proven experience in collections, customer service, or a related role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with collection software is preferred
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations with tact and professionalism
  • Goal-driven and motivated to achieve results
