Notified is hiring a Lead Software Engineer (Informatica).


Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Engineer with 10+ years of expertise in Informatica application integration, data integration, ETL jobs, and SQL. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional problem solver, possess outstanding leadership and communication skills, and have a solid understanding of batch & real-time data synchronization. Experience with CRM, ITSM data, and knowledge of Tableau/PowerBI is a definite plus.


Work Mode & Timing: Remote. 6:30 PM to 3.30 AM IST (7:30 PM to 4:30 AM IST during daylight saving)


Essential Duties:

  • Lead, design, and implement complex ETL solutions using Informatica, Snowflake (or any other database), and SQL that meet business requirements and objectives.
  • Oversee the entire data integration process, ensuring the accurate and secure integration of data from various sources, such as CRM (Salesforce), ITSM (ConnectWise/ServiceNow), and other system applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration and performance issues within the Informatica and database (Snowflake) platform while maintaining the highest level of data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop data models, and design data infrastructure to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
  • Ensure real-time data synchronization to optimize system performance and enhance data-driven decision-making processes. Ability to work with various data warehouses is key (Snowflake, MSSQL, MySQL, BigQuery)
  • Adopt a proactive approach in maintaining and optimizing existing ETL processes, identifying areas for improvement, and aligning them with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to ensure technical expertise and drive innovation within the team.
  • Act as a key point of contact for platform licensing models, ensuring proper usage, compliance, and optimization as well as liaising with stakeholders to provide technical guidance.
  • Write design and project requirements which may include both preliminary and firm estimates of system requirements, benefits, personnel, costs, timelines, etc., for review by management.
  • Design and participate in a comprehensive and logical test plan for systems using appropriate tools to ensure established standards are utilized.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for program support after implementation, which may include additional training, upgrades, or program enhancements.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in Informatica application integration (IICS), data integration, ETL jobs, Snowflake, and SQL, preferably in large and complex data environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter, IDQ, and IICS.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in SQL query writing, building data warehousing models, data marts, stored procedures & views for front-end reporting.
  • Proven experience in resolving data integration issues, ETL performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Extensive domain knowledge in CRM and Services area (Salesforce, ConnectWise or similar)
  • Experience with at one least BI/visualization tool (Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of Code Repository practices and CI/CD principles (Git, Jenkins)
  • Experience with Python
  • Knowledge on data quality and validation techniques
  • Understanding on Restful APIs, Webhook, and other near real-time integration patterns
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field


Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Big Data Technologies (Spark, Flink)
  • Knowledge of Orchestration Tools (Airflow or similar)
  • Knowledge of Distributed Event Platform (Kafka, Kinesis, equality)
  • Experience working within at least one public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Master's degrees or Data Engineering related certifications
