We are looking for a highly motivated Inside Specialist (New York, NY - Metro area)to drive new sales opportunity to generation through to closure for new and repeat business. Working remotely in a home-based office, the successful candidate will collaborate with the field-based sales teams to address the needs of each customer and deliver outstanding account management support.

The Inside Sales Specialist will be responsible for generating and progressing sales opportunities from new customers, as well as working to ensure the retention and growth of existing customers by actively building relationships and delivering up to date product information.
Other Responsibilities Include
- Qualifying incoming sales leads and nurturing to conversion
- Actively implementing outbound sales prospecting campaigns at the support of the marketing teams
- Delivering up-to-date technical product updates to prospective customers
- Driving sales opportunities to closure including quote generation and collaborating with Contracts team to complete terms and conditions agreements
- Adhering to standard methodologies for tracking, recording and detailing relevant commercial intelligence in CRM
- Implementing and sharing best practices for achieving key performance metrics
What We're Looking For...
A BSc degree and/or Masters (preferably in Life Sciences, genetics and genomics), a PhD may be advantageous but isn't required for the role. Ideally, you'll have prior sales experience, preferably inside sales and have worked with research/life science customers and you know your way around CRM systems, but not required.
You will have an understanding of current DNA sequencing technologies and their applications, strong communication and influencing skills and knowledge of the Life Sciences and Genomics market!
You will be an excellent team player and able to build positive relationships with others. Ideally, you have experience of working in a global team, and you're comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for candidates located within the New York Metro area.
You have a positive approach with a can-do mindset and are able to use your initiative as well as exercise good judgement and tact.

The salary for this role is between $66,970 and $100,454 USD. The salary offered will reflect the skills and experience of the candidate.
Certain roles within ONT are eligible annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance.
